Workshop 1: The Contribution of Women of Faith in the Creation of Resilient, Sustainable, Safe and Inclusive Cities: Examples from Indigenous Communities and the Bahá'í Community
• Facilitated by Ms. Paula Franco and Ms. Clarisa Nieva (at Casa Flors Sirera)
The contributions of indigenous women and the Bahai Faith will be explored from personal experiences and transmitters of values. Likewise, this session will illustrate the impact on the construction and creation of more inclusive, resilient and sustainable societies.
Workshop 2: Creating Bridges Between Young People of Different Religions Though Youth Movements
• Facilitated by Ms. Ligia Matamoros and Ms. Maria Mercader (at Orthodox Church Santa Teodora de Sihla)
Youth movements that operate within cities, such as the esplais, or scouting groups, operate in contexts of diversity, both from the point of origin and that of religion. Finding solutions to create inclusive youth movements in open societies challenges education movements around the world. This session will explore how to recognize and recreate different narratives to ensure youth involvement across all sectors.
Workshop 3: Challenges and Best Practices: Interfaith Platforms in Cities of the 21st Century
• Facilitated by Dr. Luigi Da Salvia, Mr. Marcel Israel, Ms. Pia Jardi, Dr. Genti Kruja (at Al-Fath Mosque)
The contribution of interreligious dialogue in the creation of inclusive cities as a solution to address isolation. However, the impact of interreligious dialogue groups in the municipality goes further and describes potentialities and capacities to provide answers to the vital challenges of today's European cities.
Workshop 4: The Experience of Exploring Interreligious Meditation and Spiritual Reflection While Coexisting in Cities
• Coordinated by Ms. Eva Torres and with the participation of different faiths (at Samye Dzong Buddhist Center)
In this experiential silent workshop, people from different religious traditions and from various origins will share a quiet space in which they will experience silence in different ways. It will be a free space to enter and exit as one pleases.
Workshop 5: Internal Transformation Processes: An Experience in the City that Opens to the World
• Coordinated by Ms. Concepció Serra and with the participation of members of INSPIRACIÓ 2022 (at Convent of the Capuchins)
The Associació Inspiració 2022 will share the citizen adventure that took place during a year (March 2021-March 2022) in which through three axes (cosmos, human and divine) and based on three different approaches (word, walk with conscious, and environmental clean up on the city's margins), the citizens of Manresa were involved in reflection and action in another way of living and coexisting in the city. A process applicable and perhaps exportable, to other cities.
18:00 – 19:00 Reflection on Experiences Around the City
