What to visit
The monumental façade of the southern entrance to the city - with the Cave of Saint Ignatius, La Seu basilica and the Pont Vell [the Old Bridge] - is a constant reminder of the city’s illustrious past. This history has been defined by three periods of splendour: the Medieval Manresa, the Baroque Manresa and the Industrial and Modernist Manresa.
It was during the Baroque period that the city welcomed Ignatius of Loyola. Since then, Manresa has been marked by his legacy, which can still be enjoyed today.
