The story of how Manresa inspired that pilgrim draws the reader in to rediscover the town from an evocative point of view, featuring the monuments and the natural environments he walked through, as well as the intangible aspects that reveal a special atmosphere unchanged with the passage of time.

The author of the book is Laura Serrat (Manresa, 1997), who trained in journalism and literature. Her interest in capturing and describing the world around her has led her to work for various local media outlets. In Under a welcoming sky, she skilfully weaves together journalism and narrative as she takes a fresh, new look at her town.
